Black floral shirt

This is my next piece for SWAP 2020, a woven shirt using the same pattern I used for the musical shirt. I made it the same way except with different cuffs (wider than the pattern but narrower than the folded over cuffs of the musical shirt).
I even had the perfect buttons deep in stash, white pearl with a black back and shank, which sit beautifully.
I love how this came out.
The pattern I used is from March 2020 Prima Magazine (a UK women's magazine).
I shortened the shirt dress pattern to be a shirt.

  3. I must say that I like this shirt even more than your music shirt, (which I also liked quite a lot) just because the floral print reminds me a bit of Liberty fabric. I am impressed that you are making such good progress on your SWAP sewing!

  4. Alison this fabric is proper fine shirting fabric which feels lovely, the musical shirt was a coarser fabric which was good for the novelty print but I suspect won't hold the colour well under washing.
