Neckline embelishment

Here's my first go at embellishment. I went freestyle, in a natural-ish sort of way. All shades of browns and amber and curving lines. Its deliberately not symmetrical. I wanted a flow that was roughly balanced but had a handmade look.

That turned out nicely, Ruthie. I have always admired that sort of beaded embellishment but have never tried doing it on anything but my fiber arts quilts. You look to have done a really good job of placing the beadwork and it sure adds some zip to the top.

I love that thought. In my opinion-our society is far too accustomed to a sterile, machine made perfection. Handcrafted is not appreciated enough.

ps- oops, forgot to say-I love the result as well, not just the philosophy behind it.

I love the embellishment on your top, and how you used the shapes and colors of different beads to make such a neat design. Great job!

Do love the beaded embellishment. I would not have thought to combine the amber and red. It is very lovely.
