Here's the completed Jalie white and turquoise top.
The fit is quite good. I've put in a sleeve from a Butterick top as the Jalie sleeves are far too tight. This is a size V.
I've sewn it all with 1.5cm (5/8") seam allowances. Is that right? I could not find anything in the instructions to say otherwise.

Ooh. I love the new top. The fabric is wonderful. I am not certain about the seam allowances, on the pattern you have but I just checked my sweetheart top and a polo top I have and they are both quarter inch seams... though I think I've made mine wider as I find knits super fiddly with such a narrow allowance.
Looking forward to seeing you in the top in due course.
Hi Ruthie!! Could you add (5/8") beside your 1.5cm for North American fans?? ;)
Soft hug,
Rhonda in Montreal (where francophones & immigrants use metric and English hang on tight to inches, like their American friends ;) )
If the fit is quite good, then 1.5cm must be right for you!
Lovely top. I see it with white pants. Enjoy wearing it.
Ruthie that fabric is GREAT!
And Jenni is right: Jalie usually uses 1/4" seams. I generally cut mine a bit wide to get a 3/8" seam because 1/4" gets sucked into the throat plate and/or slips out from under the presser foot.
FWIW, I usually cut a size or two larger sleeve and don't have too much trouble getting it into the armscye. The knits I use generally stretch enough to accomodate that.
