I've tried to come up with a plan which meets the rules using the fabrics and garments I had planned earlier.

Your plan looks great and I am sure it will be lovely when done. Looking forward to seeing each piece as you make.
I am hoping to do a sew along so have a plan (sort of). I looked at plaid fabric last night and the only one I saw that matched the sock wool I have is not talking nicely to me. The black and red lumberjack fabric is talking loudly to me. Decisions, decisions.

That looks a good set and its great you could make the swap from existing plans, more or less. I'm going to do the same. :)
