PR Fabric Stash 2022

 Another catch up post.

Between 15th August and 14th October I took part in the PR Fabric Stash 2022. I managed to sew 44 items.

Print knit top: New Look 6735 with full bicep alteration

Burgundy top: New Look 6217 I extended the grown on sleeves slightly and then added a piece at the bottom to get a drop shoulder look. I also cut a neckband from the knit which I used on the neckline instead of bias tape.

Burgundy Jeans: Itch to Stitch Mountain View Pull On jeans with back crotch alterations

Burgundy Dress : OOP New Look 6181 

Olive coat: Prima magazine November 2016 with added flaps and lining.

Olive hat: OOP Simplicity 7932 made reversible, dirty denim/olive raincoat fabric

Dark olive stripe trousers: Simplicity 1467 with back crotch alteration and added zipped pocket

Print knit top: New Look 6735 with slightly raised the front neckline, slightly lengthened sleeves and added cuffs.

Cardigan: McCalls 6844 View B with added large pockets, belt loops and a belt.

Canvas Shopper: 1 yard shopping bag, following the instructions I found at Happiest Camper Grocery Bag

Overtrousers: OOP New Look 6875 Raincoat fabric trousers and drawstring bag (approx 9" x 12")

Dark teal turtleneck: OOP New Look 6008 View B

Pillowcases to fit standard pillows - pair in pale blue, pair in novelty print with contrast stripe.

Striped shopping bag: 1 yard shopping bag, following the instructions I found at Happiest Camper Grocery Bag

Animal print Turtleneck: OOP New Look 6008 View B 

Ivory blouse: New Look 6225 with added shoulder tabs and scarf.

Stash Goal

During February I've bought about 37 metres of fabric. That's quite a lot. Its all stuff I will use, but in the interests of stash parity and also making room in the fabric cupboard, I am hoping to sew up a similar amount during the stash contest on Pattern review which is on for the months of February and March.

So far I have sewn 7 items and used 14.5 metres, during 3 of the 8 weeks of the contest. At that rate I should manage about 38 metres by the end of the contest, and my target is somewhere in the 37-40 metres range.
As a garment averages about 2 metres per item I need to complete another 13 garments which is a tall order for a 5 week period, and comes down to 3 items a week.

I am trying to keep to only sewing garments for myself and not hare off doing curtains, bedding etc. In particular I would like to sew as many things as is feasible from stash which also fit in with the two SWAP Plans I have going. Nothing like making life demanding :-)
(I have no plans to win the contest, just to meet my personal targets).
