Simplicity 2603 Cardi Wrap in Cream
I've sewn this Simplicity 2603 Cardi Wrap in cream cotton tshirt fabric for my lovely friend B. I hope she likes it. I have another one cut out in sparkly gold!
I've made the top from this pattern a bajillion times; it's one of my summer favorites.
But I haven't tried the cardi yet. It looks like there's a LOT of fabric in the front there; does it feel heavy/overwhelming? Or is that just how the light is bouncing off the color?
There is a lot of fabric in the front. And the back if fairly short, Its not for everyone but my friend B loved a black one I had made and wanted some other colours. If you wear it loose as per the photo then its very long and full at the front and much shorter at the back.
I have a similar Vogue cardi that sorely needs to be replaced before it utterly disintegrates and have been trying to decide if I want to make the Vogue again or give the simplicity a try. Mayhap I shall pull both patterns out and see how similar they are... The gold one is beautiful, btw. ;-)
