I should be sewing the cordoroy embroidered skirt but instead I was side tracked by the animal print knit which asked to be made into a cosy. I think it worked out quite well. What do you think?
This is from Simplicity 2603 again.
I cut out quite carefully and have left all the hems raw and unfinished as the animal print mesh does not seem to ravel at all :-D

The cardi looks great. YES YES!
Thanks for your comment on friendship. I'd have emailed you privately but couldn't find an address. I agree that they aren't always even which is okay if you recognize the fact and work within it. I agree with the seasons since marrying, having children, moving, or changing jobs or social groups, and things like these always shift relationships. It's the long term and very close ones that you thought you could count on and find out that you can't (usually when you need it) that I have difficulty with. This year it's been four of those - 19 years, 12 years, 9 years, and 7 years. Right now, I'm working on not over investing. THANK YOU for sharing your thoughts.

I love it and now am on the look out for somehting similar but with more brown in it LOL.
I couldn't visualize the cosy in a animal print when you first mentioned it...but it looks wonderful!
That is really lovely. I am thinking of doing the same pattern. How did you finish your edges on this? I haven't decided how to do that yet.
Very nice!
Ruthie, perfect fabric for the cosy style! I love the print and it will look great with your red! I have never finished the edges of mine, it makes it much easier when I tie it, less bulk.
Great cozy. I would wear that with black velvet pants and a red top. Wish it were mine!
OOOOOHhhhhh stunning. Love it... she shouts over her shoulder as she speeds off the rummage in her own stash for animal print knits.
Ruthie The cozy was a fabulous choice for a cosy. Fabulous, fabulous fabulous
