First try at knit dress

Here's my first try at a knit dress. Not sure about the print which looks rather checky at a distance.
The bodice is Jalie, the sleeves Butterick and the skirt traced off RTW. The waistband was my own invention and needed some tweaking.
The coverstitch is misbehaving again so the skirt hem is a job for tomorrow, otherwise it is done.

Excellent! I love the print.

I like the print. Now you've made one you won't stop. I always thought I would never wear a knit dress. I've made ten since the beginning of this year and still have more planned. They are perfect for travelling, too.

Great looking dress. I giggled as I read all the pieces you put together from various patterns. Especially while working on your first knit...And it turned out just grand. GO Ruthie!

Great Job. Do we get to see the dress modelled?

That came out wonderfully well. Might we see a photo of it on you at some point? I am very impressed with your pattern morphing skills and think the dress is going to be great for work.
